"Super Bowl" Ribs

I know the Super Bowl isn't until next weekend, but I have been dying to make these and John's mom just gave us a package of beef ribs.  For the record, my dad's original recipe calls for pork ribs, but we do what we can, right?  Right. This is one of the BEST EVER ribs recipes.

First, brown the ribs in a little bit of oil (like peanut oil)

Drain any excess oil.  Then,  add some onion slices to brown, and a few smushed up garlic cloves.

While that browned up, I painted the bottom of a pyrex dish with BBQ sauce.  I just thought it might be a good idea.

When everything in the pan is nice and brown, layer the ribs and onions in the pan and paint it ALLLL up with BBQ sauce.

MMmmmmm.... You can use store-bought or homemade.  But you MUST use an adorable little brush like this guy.

Cover it all up with tin foil and bake it.  You can bake it at 350 until it bubbles and then at 225 for a few more hours, or at 225 all day (12 hours ish).

When you uncover it, beware.  It smells amazing.

And looks just as good!
